CALL FOR SECOND MEETING OF GLOBAL TASKS FORCE ON MIGRATION

The global task force on migration (GTFM) webinar on “the importance of multi-level governance to ensure effective local responses to migration and displacement”

The Global Task Force on Migration will gather on 3 February 2021 at 12:00 (CET) with the theme “The Importance of Multi-Level Governance to Ensure Effective Local Responses to Migration and Displacement.” The Global Task Force, which was established as a result of the “2019 Gaziantep Declaration,” aims to lay down the groundwork that will allow municipalities and international organizations to cooperate on various issues, especially migration.

Collaborating with important partners such as United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), International Organization for Migration (IOM), United Cities and Local Governments Middle East and West Asia Section (UCLG-MEWA), United Nations Development Agency (UNDP), United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), Union of Municipalities of Turkey (UMT) and World Academy for Local Government and Democracy (WALD), the Global Task Force will gather virtually and discuss the importance of local governments' policies on migration and pandemic and ways to enhance the efficiency of the existing works.
